Stuart Andrew was pleased to lend his support to World Cancer Day, an international day on February 4th every year that raises awareness of cancer and encourages its prevention, detection and treatment.
Aviva have announced the first winners of their latest Community Fund Competition and they include two projects within the constituency. Farsley Rehoboth and West End Primary in Horsforth have been awarded funds of up to £1,000 for their projects.
After calls from Stuart in recent weeks for a funding increase to be allocated to Leeds, the Secretary of State, Matt Hancock MP, has confirmed the allocation to the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Stuart joined hundreds of members of the community in the constituency in the annual push to raise money for BBC’s Children in Need on Friday 16th November. All money raised goes towards the cause of helping to change children’s lives all across the UK for the better.
Lee Scott, from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, visited the constituency on Friday 19th October to discuss, alongside Councillor Andrew Carter, the issue of Green Belt within the constituency.
