Stuart Andrew has welcomed the news that the Department for Transport have recognised the inadequacy of the rail services offered to those in the North of England and that the Northern Rail franchise will be taken into public ownership from the 1st of March.

Stuart has today pledged his support for the Long Live the Local Campaign to help pubs in Pudsey keep their doors open. Stuart Andrew joins the more than 240,000 people who have signed the petition so far, including 398 in Pudsey alone.
Stuart has welcomed the commitment made by the Secretary of State for Transport to protect the services currently under the Arriva Rail North franchise in light of the franchise’s financial difficulties.
