Yesterday Minister of State for Employment, Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP, visited Airedale International Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Centre with Stuart Andrew, MP for Pudsey. This took place on the same day that Mr Andrew raised the issue of apprentices in Parliament.
The Minister and Mr Andrew were taken on a tour of the centre where they were able to see the training facilities for young apprentices and met with some of the current participants enrolled on courses.
Mr Andrew said ‘I was very pleased to have been able to arrange a visit by the Minister to these excellent facilities and that he was able to see first-hand the invaluable work which takes place at this centre.
‘I strongly believe that businesses should be encouraged to take on apprentices and that we assist young people in joining the workforce. Airedale International Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Centre equips its students with skills, practical and theoretical experience needed to further their career and is an excellent example of what businesses could be doing to nurture their workforce.’
