Farsley Community Initiative awarded Pocket Park Plus funding

On 17 February the Government announced a funding boost for the UK to ensure the sustainability of the Nation’s parks. Parks and projects all over the country could apply for a share of the money.

After a competitive progress, it has been announced that Farsley Community Initiative were successful and have been awarded the highest possible amount of £25,500 to help maintain and refurbish the green spaces in Farsley for local residents and visitors to enjoy.

Stuart said: “I am delighted that Farsley Community Initiative have been granted this funding. It is a great project that has been benefitting the community in Farsley for many years. This money will help them regenerate the local green spaces. I would urge local volunteers in Farsley and the surrounding areas to get out and help with the project to ensure that the money can stretch as far as possible.”
