Stewart Andrew MP congratulates Leeds City Council on winning two of the RSPCA's Community Animal Welfare Footprint Awards 2017

Leeds City Council have been awarded a Gold Housing Footprint and a Bronze Contingency Planning Footprint in the RSPCA’s Community Animal Welfare Footprint awards 2017.

This is excellent news for the local council, who have been recognised for their continued commitment to high welfare standards for animals across the services they provide.

The RSPCA were pleased to have seen significant progress in the standard of local authority animal welfare services, with Leeds City Council showing continuing improvement year on year since the award scheme was first launched in 2008.

Stuart Andrew MP said: “I congratulate Leeds City Council on this fantastic achievement, and hope they are able to continue to improve on what is currently an excellent service in the years to come.”
