Stuart was delighted to see the results across the constituency of Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough in the May local elections, which saw 11 out of 12 available seats in the Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough constituency won by Conservative Party candidates.
Stuart said: “I was delighted to see Jackie Shemilt and Paul Wadsowrth re-elected in Horsforth and Guiseley and Rawdon with increased majorities and I would also like to congratulate Pete Carlill on his re-election. I was very disappointed to see Jas Singh miss out in Calerley and Farsely by just 27 votes, which is disappointing as he would have made a fantastic Councillor. I was, however, absolutely thrilled for Trish Smith winning a seat previously held by the Labour Party in the Pudsey ward and I am very much looking forward to working with all the Conservative candidates. I would like to thank everyone who supported us, campaigned with us and voted for us and also all the candidates who put themselves forwards for one of the most difficult local elections in a long time.”
