Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough MP Stuart Andrew recently tuned in to ‘A&E Live’ to watch his constituency hospital, Leeds General Infirmary, allowing the television cameras to go behind the scenes in the Accident & Emergency Department.
‘A&E Live’ is a unique programme which offers a live and direct insight into the life-saving work that is carried out every day by our dedicated NHS staff at the Leeds General Infirmary A&E Department to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the NHS.
Stuart said: “I was delighted to learn that Leeds General Infirmary, which is a fantastic hospital with incredibly dedicated and compassionate staff, would be featuring on ‘A&E Live’ and I was very excited to tune in. The behind the scenes footage of Leeds General Infirmary really shone a light on the amazing staff at the front-line of urgent patient care and I was very proud to watch the healthcare staff who save and change the lives of many of my constituents who find themselves in need or urgent medical care. I would like to personally congratulate all the staff who work so hard in this hospital and featured in the programme for showing our NHS at its best and thank them for all their hard work.”
