Stuart welcomes Highway Maintenance Funding Allocation for West Yorkshire

Further to the announcement of funding being provided for the maintenance of highways in the Autumn 2018 Budget, Stuart has welcomed the news that Leeds will be allocated £3,857,000.

Stuart said: "It is fantastic news that the need for our local roads and bridges to be repaired is being recognised with some fantastic funding allocated specifically for that purpose. I am delighted that the West Yorkshire Combined Authority has been allocated £12,950,000 with £3,857,000 of that funding going directly to Leeds. I am very much looking forward to repairing our potholes and bridges and I will continue to liaise with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority on this and ensure the funding is being used in the best possible way for my constituents."
