Stuart welcomes over £500,000 investment to tackle Leeds roads

Stuart has welcomed the new funding commitment announced by the Department for Transport this week to improve the condition of roads across the country. Over £500,000 will be provided to Leeds to tackle potholes and improve the condition of roads throughout the constituency.

This funding has been announced by Transport Secretary Chris Grayling today as part of a £200 million investment, including £50 million that will be provided directly to councils to tackle potholes and improving the vital road network across the country.

Stuart said: “This new funding to tackle potholes and improve the condition of our roads is great news for businesses and people throughout our constituency who rely on local roads to get to work and to visit friends and family. Potholes have been a large concern for my constituents for all my time as an MP and I am glad that it is getting addressed.”
